Board duties:	The Board of Building Examiners hears disciplinary cases and other matters relating to licensed and unlicensed contractors practicing in Lake County.
Membership:	9
Member Types:	The membership of the Board of Building Examiners shall whenever practical, include at a minimum: (1) One architect (1) One business person (1) One engineer (1+) At least one contractor, who is registered or certified under section 489.105(3)(a)-(c) of the Florida Statutes (1+) At least one contractor who is registered or certified under section 489.105(3)(d)-(o) of the Florida Statutes (3) Three consumer members who are not and have never been members of a profession regulated under this part, or a member of any closely related profession, Chapter 471, Chapter 481, or Chapter 489 of the Florida Statutes.

Meeting location:	Board of County Commission Chambers located on the second floor of the Lake County Administration Building, 315 W. Main St., Tavares
