Committee duties: The Human Services Grant Advisory Committee was created to devise a funding plan to ensure accountability of organizations awarded funds; provide fair and equitable funding to emerging and established not-for-profit organizations that are working creatively on "need-based" issues and concerns; and supply recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for annual budgeting purposes.

Member Types:

(5) Five members who are current members of existing citizen advisory boards and committees, including the Elder Affairs Coordinating Council, Children's Services Council, Comprehensive Health Care Committee, Parks, Recreation & Trails Advisory Board and the Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board.

Term length: Depends on term limits from member's service on the other board or committee

Meeting times: As needed, typically once a year
