Authority duties: The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) serves as an advisory body to the Board of County Commissioners on economic and industrial development matters. The IDA, by interlocal agreement, also oversees the development and sales of the Christopher C. Ford Commerce Park.
Membership: 15
Voting member types: (10) Ten citizens at-large

Non-voting member types:

(1) President, or designee, from Lake-Sumter Community College
(1) One representative from the Lake County League of Cities
(1) One representative from Lake Technical Center

Meeting times: Monthly on the second Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
Meeting location: Board of County Commission Chambers located on the second floor of the Lake County Administration Building, 315 W. Main St., Tavares
