April 10, 2010 - Quarterly Reporting - Per the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) of 2009, recipients of this funding are required to report quarterly on progress at www.FederalReporting.gov . The quarterly reports for the Community Development Block Grant – Recovery Act (CDBG-R) funds are posted below for inspection. September 14, 2009 – Starting today and ending at 6 p.m.on September 29, all interested parties can make comments about Lake County’s pending request to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to remove the environmental conditions and release Federal funds under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (PL 93-383) for its Community Development Block Grant – Recovery Act (CDBG-R), HUD Contract #B-09-UY-12-0015, infrastructure construction projects. Those projects are listed on the Projects Activity Data Spreadsheet above and the environmental reviews for those projects are below. Any comments should be forwarded to Allison Thall at firstname.lastname@example.org or (352) 742-6502 or by fax at (352) 742-6535 by 6 p.m. on September 29, 2009 for consideration.
August 4, 2009 – Upon request from HUD, the City of Montverde also changed its project from a park improvement to a sidewalk construction project. Subsequently, HUD approved Lake County’s CDBG-R Action Plan and signed the Grant Agreement on July 29, 2009. The County has to sign the agreement and return two copies to HUD, Jacksonville by August 28, 2009. The next step will be to execute agreements between the non-profit and cities that will be receiving the CDBG-R funding for their projects.
June 15, 2009. The CDBG-R Submission Template and Checklist was submitted and received by the HUD, Jacksonville Office by the June 5 deadline. HUD then came out with some new guidelines concerning park projects. The City of Tavares decided to take that opportunity to substitute a sidewalk activity for their original park project. A revised Template was then forwarded to HUD, Jacksonville for review on this date.
