Lake County's Office of Economic Development and Tourism hosted the First Annual Economic Development Summit at the Mission Inn Resort & Club, located in Howey-in-the-Hills on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011. This all-day, action-packed event informed, inspired and lead Lake County into a healthy and prosperous 2012.

The summit agenda featured nationally renowned speakers who presented best practices in workforce development, economic development, site selection and strategic planning. Business leaders, entrepreneurs, educational and workforce partners, as well as elected officials were encouraged to attend.
