Lake County Economic Development and Tourism offers three different sponsorship programs. These programs are funded through the Tourism Development Tax which is a 4% tax levied on all short-term overnight stays in the county. The Capital Projects Funding Program is aimed at supporting capital projects that will drive visitation and room night stays to Lake County. This program is only open to publicly owned and operated facilities and requires at least 50% matching funds.
The Event Sponsorship program was created to assist events rights holders offset some of the operational cost associated with holding their event. The program is divided into two separate programs, “Room Night” based events, and “Daytrip” based events. More information about each program can be found on the application. Each program uses the same application; please indicate which program is being applied for on the application. These funds are available to any event organizers, governmental, non-profit or for-profit.
The Marketing Sponsorship Program is available to offset costs associated with marketing campaigns that will promote Lake County as a tourism destination. This program is not geared towards promoting a particular event rather as a destination marketing tool. These funds are available to any organizations looking to promote tourism in Lake County.
