The STAR Team is extremely pleased to announce that the Board of County Commissioners has selected the following employees for the annual Customer Service Award: Carol Boyle, Pat Werner, Erikk Ross, Anita Greiner, and Sheila Short.

Excellence in Customer Service is designed to recognize the efforts and activities supporting the County’s goal of providing excellence in service to all customers. These five went above and beyond to achieve that goal.
 
Carol Boyle
Carol is a Senior Assessment Specialist with the Office of Budget, Assessments. Carol is recognized for the exemplary work she does on a daily basis in the management of the database of the Fire Rescue assessment as well as the procedures involved with the County’s Municipal Service Billing Unit services. Carol’s demeanor is always calm and helpful when handling the most difficult customer situations.

Pat Werner
Pat is the Lead Network Technician with the Department of Information Technology. Pat juggles answering computer calls for the whole county as well as supervising his employees. Pat is tasked with coordinating most IT projects and making sure the needs of the employees are met. He always treats everyone with respect and care; and always has a great outlook.


Erikk Ross
Erikk is a Software/Engineer Programmer with the Department of Information Technology. Erikk truly sets the bar for delivering superior customer service. Erikk is dedicated to his job and department and understands that teamwork is a broad network for everyone working together to provide quality service. Erikk is very responsive to requests and will make every attempt to deliver expeditiously with professionalism and creativity.

Anita Greiner
Anita is a Chief Planner with the Department of Growth Management, Customer Service. Anita deals daily with the difficult task of having to tell landowners, wanting to develop their property, that they do not meet the Land Development Regulation’s requirements. This requires the utmost tack to help the citizen understand the process. Anita never loses her patience and is always understanding of the citizen’s frustration. Anita is very devoted to the citizens as she guides them thru the process.

Sheila Short
Sheila is a Senior Planner with the Department of Growth Management, Customer Service. Sheila has the challenging task of training Associate Planners as they come aboard. This is a monumental task as it takes at least a year to train someone to be relatively comfortable working the counter. Sheila trains with untiring patience and understanding and always takes her role very seriously. Sheila is the backbone of the department as she strives to find solutions to the many challenges faced each day.
