Perform responsible technical work controlling the invasive growth of exotic aquatic plants in Lake County. Is responsible for performing routine inspections, applying herbicide treatments, assisting with mosquito management activities, providing public information and assistance and maintaining equipment.
Requires high school diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in aquatic plant management or a closely related field with two years of related experience.
Requires a valid Florida class “E” driver’s license. Must possess, or obtain within six months of employment, state certification in general standards for pesticide application, with the category of aquatic’s application.
