ASSISTANT AREA MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Assists in supervising the work of crew members engaged in the construction and maintenance of County roads, bridges, stormwater and related structures. Is responsible for leading and participating in daily field operations, ensuring the proper and safe use of equipment, reporting daily progress to supervisor, and performing related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years experience in the construction and maintenance of roads and related public works projects; or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Requires a valid Florida CDL – Class “B” driver’s license within six (6) months of date of hire, Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic within six (6) months of date of hire, Florida Department of Environmental Protection Qualified Stormwater Management Inspector certification within one (1) year of date of hire and Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Herbicide/Pesticide license with Right-of-Way endorsement within one (1) year of date of hire.
