Assists in the planning, coordination and supervision of daily operations of the Animal Services Division. Responsible for the enforcement of the Lake County animal control laws and related laws of the State. Protects the safety and welfare of the general public and animal rights. Supervises Animal Control Officers. Investigates complaints from the public, preparing and processing reports and records, monitoring problem areas, researching work orders and citations, etc. Assumes the duties of Animal Services Director in the absence of same.
Requires Associate’s Degree or the equivalent of two years of college or vocational school education in animal control, law enforcement, code enforcement or a closely related field. Requires four years of related experience and maintaining a valid Florida Driver's License.
