The Safety Action Team (SAT) was created to facilitate and improve the safety of all Lake County Employees and reduce the County’s potential liability, in such areas as employee work related injuries/illnesses, property damage and casualties.

The SAT meets the last Wednesday of each month, and the team is comprised of employees from each department and representatives from other agencies covered by the County’s Workers’ Compensation and Property & Liability programs.

The team focuses on reviewing Injury/Illness and Property Damage Investigations Forms, and assist in the development and implementation of safety initiatives. The SAT actively participates in promoting workplace safety by leading and encouraging employee involvement.
