Golf Course Ordinance Compliance

• Review and approve Golf Course Management Plans.
• Review and oversee monitoring plans to ensure compliance with approved monitoring plans.
  

Storage Tanks Program Compliance

• Inspection & compliance for all under/above ground Storage Tanks in Lake County including enforcement.
• Program is mostly funded by State contract.
• Pollutant Storage Tank Inspection Program
  Lake County contracts with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to administer Florida’s Pollutant Storage Tank Compliance Verification Program within the boundaries of Lake County. Under the contract terms, the Water Quality Services Storage Tanks Section performs a variety of inspections at approximately 315 of the regulated storage facilities within the County. In addition, the Division performs initial enforcement actions. On a monthly average we deal with one suspected release of fuel. When compliance violations are discovered, a notice of violation is sent. Lake County cooperates with the FDEP when additional enforcement is warranted.
  

Mining Inspection and Compliance Program

• Review new mining applications, operation plans, hydrogeologic reports, DRS, enforcement.
• Perform annual compliance inspection & enforcement.
• Review and oversee monitoring plans to ensure compliance with MSPs.
  

Water Quality Services

• Prepare & present code cases before the Code Enforcement Board for violations of the various above listed programs including environmental complaints from citizens & Commissioners.

Solid Waste Landfill Monitoring

• Permitting & Inspection program for all private landfills.
  

Environmental Site Assessments

• WRM performs Certified ESA’s for County Departments when requested.
