Below is a list of recently completed construction projects

  • Sheriffs South District Sub Station in Clermont
    • Existing building conversion of the previous Dodge Dealership in Clermont.
    • Added presence in this area for Sheriff. Provides Office & Detentions expansion of approximately 8,000 sq ft with an existing Shop Area of approximately 7,700 sq feet
    • Work began Oct 19, 2009 Substantially complete July 28, 2010
  • Paisley Fire Station
    • New 2 story Facility with approximately 7,000 sq ft
    • Work began September 1, 2009
    • Substantially complete July 29, 2010
  • Horticultural Learning Center
    • 2,200 sq ft facility for Horticultural and Gardening Seminars
    • Work began June 15, 2009
    • Grand opening was held July 14, 2010
  • Phase 1 Downtown Tavares
    All were complete by June 1, 2009
    • 2 story building for the Tax Collector & Property Appraiser - 320 W. Main St., Tavares (adjacent to Parking Garage) View Time Lapse Construction Video
    • Construction began May 2008 on a 8 story Parking Garage with 1,547 parking spaces and a 29,241 sq ft.
    • Central Energy Plant
  • BCC-LSCC Joint Use Library (Cooper Memorial Library)
    • Located at 2525 Oakley Seaver Drive.
    • 2-story 50,000 square foot building. Collaborative public and academic library between Lake County, Lake-Sumter Community College and the University of Central Florida.
    • Opened to the public on August 17, 2009
  • Cagan Crossings Community Library
    • Opened to the public on Feb. 1, 2008
    • 19,000-square-foot
  • Fairgound Improvements
  • Umatilla Health Clinic
    • Construction began in May 2007 and included a complete overhaul of the existing 4,600-square-foot structure and adding 11,000 square feet of space. The new facility enables the Lake County Health Department to offer clinical services to the surrounding community, including family health, maternity, immunizations and specialty clinics.
  • Water Resource Lab Addition
  • Lake Jem Fire Station (Station 78)
    • 2-bay, 7,700-square-foot facility
    • Located at 16345 County Road 448 in the Lake Jem community
    • Fire station serves approximately 23,000 residences in the area.

The Horticultural Learning Center held its Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting on July 14, 2010.  The 2,200 Square Foot building will serve as a space for Horticultural and Gardening Seminars
