The Administration Division provides support services for the department, including general administration, accounting, budgeting, and planning. Included in this division is the Architectural Services area. This area directs and coordinates the activities of professional architects, engineers, and other consultant personnel with regard to new and existing facilities. The staff architect prepares initial concept drawings and contributes to initial cost estimates in cooperation with the Development Division staff. Staff duties include reviewing and approving all plans an specifications submitted by consultants, contractors, and other agencies to ensure conformance with project guidelines and all applicable local, state, and national building codes and practices.
