The Facilities Development Division provides planning and oversight for projects under construction. This Division assesses the plans and costs for new County facilities, and for proposed renovations to existing facilities. The Division works jointly with the Architectural Services area to direct and coordinate the activities of professional architects, engineers, and general contractors throughout the life of these projects. Staff ensures that projects conform to project guidelines and all applicable local, state, and national building codes and practices.

Officials break ground for the project that will renovate the existing 4,600-square-foot structure and add 11,000 square feet of space. When completed in about one year, the facility will enable the Lake County Health Department to offer clinical services to the surrounding community, including family health, maternity, immunizations and specialty clinics.
