What is a Residential Shed (non-agricultural)?

A freestanding residential structure used for storage of items, such as, lawn equipment, recreational/hobby equipment, washer/dryer, etc.

What is a Residential Addition?

A habitable structure (intended for human occupancy) attached to or detached from the dwelling unit on the parcel. These types of structures shall include, but not limited to, living room, bedroom, pool house, office, game room, etc.

What is a Residential Accessory Structure?

A non-habitable, non-agriculture structure attached to or detached from the dwelling unit on the parcel. These types of structures shall include, but not limited to, a garage, carport, screen room, porch, gazebo, screen pool enclosure, deck, etc.

What is a Ground/Monument Sign?

A sign that is anchored near or at ground level, which has the vertical structure supports concealed in an enclosed base.

What is a Wall Sign?

A sign attached parallel to, but within eight (8) inches of a wall, painted on a wall surface or erected and confined within the limits of an outside wall of any building or structure displaying only one (1) Sign surface.

What is a Residential Boat Dock?

A structure, typically made of wood, constructed over a water body for recreational use; such as fishing or accessing a boat. Types of structures include, but are not limited to, dock, pier, boat slip, roofed boat slip.

What is a Residential Seawall?

A wall of stone, concrete or other sturdy material, built along a shoreline to prevent erosion of waves.

What is a Single-Family Dwelling Unit?

A Single-Family Dwelling Unit is a single unit providing complete, independent living facilities for one (1) or more persons including permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation.
