Information Systems consists of 10 employees who maintain the county computer network. Information Systems is responsible for maintaining all of the hardware including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and the network infrastructure that allows them to communicate. It is also the responsibility of this group to provide a safe and secure computing environment for the employees by mitigating against computer viruses and malicious attacks aimed at disrupting the county’s computer network
Besides the buildings in the Tavares campus, other sites that IS supports include Lake County fire stations, the Medical Examiner's office, Environmental Utilities facilities, Animal Services, Maintenance barns, Road Operations, Code Enforcement, Public Works, Community Services, the Fairgrounds, and Fleet Maintenance.
