IT Telecommunications handles phone services across the county for all constitutional offices.

All telecom needs for all offices within the county must come through the Telecommunications office There are several benefits to having only one telecommunications office. First, it takes the burden from choosing phone equipment off of you and allows a single office to make the decisions about the phone equipment purchased. Another benefit of having a single telecom office is that we take full responsibility for the order and installation of the equipment, leaving you free to worry about other things.

Telecommunications is currently working hard to unify all the different phones into a single platform called NEC. It is the goal of the Telecommunications office to have everybody networked together. This will allow for four digit dialing, common voicemail, and better control of costs associated with long distance, maintenance, and other telecommunications services.

Throughout this website you will find helpful hints, user guides and much more. A link to the work order request form can also be found on the Intranet. This is a web based form that you will use to open any phone related issue you may have, such as adding a new phone, moving a phone, moving a department or a price quote for work that needs to be completed. Telecommunications also provides supervisors, managers, and directors with a web based tool to track phone calls that have been made across the county phone system. This software is provided to help analyze a department’s phone traffic and help determine future phone needs.
