Teen Academy: Public Service (TAPS) is a program sponsored by VolunteerLAKE.
It offers teens, ages 13 to 15, rewarding and life changing work in the form of unpaid community service internships.
We believe, by engaging young people in their county government today, we can produce a generation of leaders who
are socially conscious and dedicated to public service. The selected TAPS interns will gain job and leadership skills
and learn more about the inner-workings of county government. The program will also provide delivery of real-life
services to Lake County citizens. The TAPS interns will work in divisions of county government.
