Job Summary
Seeks justice by arguing for an appropriate punishment for the defendant's offense. Prosecutors review police incident reports, witness statements and intake summary sheets to prepare a well organized case that is supported by evidence. They are responsible for preparing opening statements, organizing a line of questioning that proves the defendant's guilt of the offense, objecting to opposing counsel's statements when necessary and developing a closing argument that will help the jury make a clear decision on the appropriate sentence. Training will be provided.
