Communications Technologies
The Communications Technologies Division operates and maintains the Lake County Public Safety Countywide Radio Program, Enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) database and emergency equipment/systems, performs oversight for the 9-1-1 Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) street assignment and ranges in Lake County, and oversees the Cable Television Franchise program. The Division provides technical support for the Countywide radio system and 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) within the County. This includes all Fire, Law Enforcement, and Medical agencies in the 14 municipalities, The Villages, County Public Safety, and the Sheriff's Office to include the local Florida Highway Patrol. The provided support is inclusive of monitoring fees, revenue, and billing for the support of the same among the municipalities, cable companies, and Lake County.
