LakeXpress is operating as normal.



Sandbags at unincorporated county locations are limited to 20 sandbags per household per day.  These locations are self-serve and residents need to bring their own shovels. 

  • Station 10: 23023 State Road 40, Astor
  • Station 14: 42700 State Road 19, Altoona
  • Station 53: 2505 Spring Lake Rd, Fruitland Park
  • Station 110: 6234 County Road 561, Clermont



The Citizens Information Line is deactivated, please call the Emergency Management office at 352-343-9420.

To avoid flooding dangers, never drive through flooded roadways and be especially cautious when driving at night. Residents are encouraged to develop a family communication plan, decide on a meeting location in the case of an emergency, and prepare a disaster go-kit, including important personal, medical and legal papers, stored in a safe place.
