Community Traffic Safety Team

Mission Statement
Advance the safety of motorists and non-motorists in Lake County through the collective effort of Education, Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Traffic Engineering and citizens.

Scope and Definition
The Lake County CTST is a comprehensive, multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary approach to solving roadway safety problems on the streets and highways in Lake County. Multi-jurisdictional means several agencies (cities and counties) plus other groups and organizations working together toward a common goal of improving safety within a community. Multi-disciplinary means integrating the efforts of the various disciplines that work in highway safety:

  1. Engineering
  2. Law Enforcement
  3. Emergency Services
  4. Education (Public Awareness)

Committee Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held every month on the 3rd Thursday (9:30 a.m.) at the
FDOT Leesburg Office, 1405 Thomas Ave., Leesburg
