Britt Road
Through its Department of Public Works, the Lake County Board of County Commissioners initiated the design to improve of Britt Road between Wolfbranch Road and SR44 in Mount Dora in 2004. The proposed typical section consists of an urban section with two 12-foot travel lanes, pedestrian facilities, as well as turn lanes at the north and south terminus. The Lake County Board of County Commissioners has provided direction and approved a typical roadway section for the corridor. Phase II of the design has begun with geotechnical and survey services underway to assist in the determination of the location of the potential ponds needed for the stormwater. Additional information concerning the project can be located at the following ftp site and will be updated periodically: ftp://.britt.clients.rsh:road@ftp.rsandh.com |

turning traffic off of Old 441. Oakland Drive will be configured as a “right
in and right out” turn configuration off of Old 441 westbound. Essentially,
access to the north will be handled by Heim Road and Oakland Drive, and access
to the south will be handled, as it is now, by Lakeshore Drive. Signalization will
be added at both the Lakeshore Drive and Heim Road intersections with Old 441,
with the Lakeshore Drive location having a pedestrian cross walk. The project will
receive the needed widening and resurfacing from Heim Road to approximately 250
