Water Testing services are available for those citizens on private wells for a nominal fee. The Environmental Protection Agency recommends testing your private well for bacteria once a year and nitrates once every five years. Test kits are available at the Water Resource Management Laboratory located at the County Landfill at 12923 County Landfill Rd. in Tavares and at the following libraries:
