| The 2007-2011 Transportation Construction Program becomes effective Oct. 1, 2006, and outlines transportation projects scheduled for the next five years that are either funded by impact fees, the transportation trust fund or sales tax funds from the voter-approved, one-cent sales tax referendum. Due to substantial price increases in the construction industry, construction on some projects has been delayed or removed from the program in order to stay within current revenue projections. Even with these changes, activity on these projects will still proceed toward construction with focus directed in other areas of the process, such as in the engineering design and permitting phase and/or right-of-way acquisition.
