The customer service section assists residents in unincorporated Lake County with trash and recycling service. Lake County has three exclusive franchise areas for curbside trash and recycling service in the unincorporated areas. Customers must contract with the haulers for collection service. Please click here to determine the hauler in a specific area.
Helpful tips for collection
- Place garbage containers out by 6 a.m.
- Keep garbage containers (including trash) under 50 pounds
- Make sure cardboard boxes are emptied, broken down, and bundled together
- Make sure leaves and grass trimmings are bagged
- Limbs should be no longer than 4 feet in length or 6 inches in diameter and must be bundled.
- Contact the designated franchised hauler for collection of large items
For more information or requests for a recycling bin, call customer service at (352) 343-3776. |
