Hazardous Waste & E-Cycling section works with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in recycling and all other waste management issues such as hazardous waste disposal. It is a Department goal to provide residents with the best customer service possible, while preserving the unique environment of Lake County.

Any resident in Lake County may dispose of items at the Convenience Centers — a charge may apply for certain waste items. Household items brought for recycling are accepted at no charge.

For questions regarding items accepted or disposal fees, call 352-343-3776. Convenience Centers also accept cardboard, office paper, E-waste (electronic waste) and household hazardous waste.
