Lake County's GO GREEN GET GREEN Rebate Program offers residents and small commercial business owners incentives for energy-efficiency upgrades to their structures. The rebate program is available for Lake County residents (Energy Star Appliance rebate only) and property owners and will reimburse a portion of certain energy-efficiency measures that qualify for the program.

The program is a one-time, first-come, first-served rebate program. Initial program participation ran from July 5 to September 26, 2011. The Lake County BCC recently approved an additional $150,000 in funding for the program effective beginning January 30, 2012.

Go Green Get Green Rebate program Grant funds have been depleted as of February 7, 2012. Rebate applications can no longer be accepted.

Below is the list of rebates that are available:

Residential Upgrades Available Rates
Duct Test and Repair $70
Natural Gas Water Heater 25% of total cost*, up to $500
Heat Pump 15% of total cost*, up to $500
Heat Pump Water Heater 25% of total cost*, up to $500
Programmable Thermostat $50
Radiant Barrier $0.30 per sq. ft., up to $500
Solar Water Heater $600
Natural Gas Furnace $350
Clothes Washer $350
Dishwasher $100
Refrigerator $200
 
 
Small Business Upgrades Available Rebate
Duct Test and Repair $70
Heat Pump 15% of total cost*, up to $500
High Efficiency Indoor Lighting $30 per fixture, up to $1,000
Occupancy Sensor $20-$50 per sensor, up to $500
Natural Gas Furnace $350
* Total cost includes permit, equipment, installation, sales tax, etc
