Lake County is seeking exhibitors who can offer more sustainable choices or information about reducing adverse environmental impacts in the following areas:

  • Transportation
  • Energy
  • Home building and remodeling
  • Food
  • Yard and garden
  • Recreation and leisure
  • Household products and practices
  • Sustainability education and lifestyles

Exhibit space

The Lake County Green Fair will be held at Wooton Park in Tavares. Exhibitors will have three display options as follows:

First, there will be one large tent (50 x 100) that will be set up for exhibitor spaces. Exhibitors electing to use this space will receive one 30” x 72” covered table, two chairs and one identification sign. A limited number of electrical hook-ups for spaces within the tent are available. We expect that the large tent will be able to accommodate up to 42 exhibitors.

Second, there will space available for booth set up on grassy areas of the open park as shown on the map. These areas will consist of a marked space to allow for larger set-ups, or for those exhibitors that prefer the open park environment. We expect to able to accommodate 25 or 30 exhibitors under this option.

Third, there will space available for booth set up on a newly installed concrete pads in the park as shown on the map. Each individual pad section is 12 x 12 and includes pre-drilled anchor holes to ease tent set-up. We expect to accommodate 39 vendors under this option. Note: It is likely that food vendors will be assigned to the concrete grid area.

A limited number of electrical hook-ups for the concrete grid or open park areas are available on request. Exhibitors electing to use these spaces may either bring their own set-ups, or elect to have a wind-resistant 10’ x 10’ tent with one 30” x 78” covered table and two chairs provided by the Fair managers at the additional cost stated below.

The Fair managers will allocate actual spaces to specific exhibitors within each general area shortly before the event itself.
  1. Initial application period is through Oct. 16, 2009*.
  2. Applications will be reviewed and acceptance notices will be issued no later than Oct. 23, 2009, but we expect that most acceptance notices will be sent prior to that date.
  3. Site location provided to exhibitor no later than Oct. 30, 2009.

* Applications reviewed after this date will be processed on a space-available basis.

Exhibitor Fees:
The cost for each exhibitor at the Second Annual Green Fair is free for not-for-profit groups and $25 for businesses. Optional 10’ x 10’ tent set-up as described above is $120.
