The free Lake County Green Fair on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wooton Park, located at 200. S Rockingham Ave. in Tavares, will feature educational programs and informative displays that highlight best practices in environmental issues.
In addition, the free Green Fair will offer a farmer’s market, free boat rides, children’s activities, food vendors and vehicle displays. For children, the Green Fair will feature a rock climbing wall, human gyroscopes and a face painter. A green passport will also be available at the Lake County Green Team booth that children can take around to various booths to complete a scavenger hunt for a free T-shirt.
Fair exhibitors will offer sustainable choices or information about reducing adverse environmental impacts in several categories, including transportation, health, energy, residential construction, landscaping, recreation and household products.
