The traditional trademarks of Florida, including its glistening waterways, tropical atmosphere and sunny disposition, are all well represented when taking a tour on the water with Florida from a Kayak, LLC.

Imagine gliding quietly through the water with your face into a gentle breeze. The sun is warm against your arms as you paddle along enjoying the moment.  It is now that you are greeted by the kind face of a manatee as it comes up to your kayak just to see what you are. florida from a kayak

The thrill of this experience is an example of the opportunities offered through Florida from a Kayak, LLC eco tours designed for group and kayak instruction, to serve a variety skill levels and define Florida from a Kayak.   One of the many places Florida from a Kayak, LLC travels is the Palatlakaha Run, the longest trail in the Lake County’s Blueway Program.

florida from a kayakIt’s a wonderful opportunity to experience wildlife, and all the best of Eco-Tourism, Mary Prescott, owner and operator said.  One of the tours we provide is “Moon over Minneola”.  This romantic moonlight paddle starts with a spectacular view of an equally spectacular sunset.  The unhindered view of the sun setting over the trees to the west is worth the time and effort of the evening.

However, it gets even better...after the sunset, the tour moves to the east and watches the stars begin their night of twinkling while awaiting the moon to rise. As the full moon travels above the hills to the east and takes its place in the night sky, a toast is offered to the beauty of the moment. After more stargazing and a few stories and tall tales, the group returns to the shore to finish the evening with refreshments.

Classes are also offered.  Students will learn about potential hazards and paddle safety. The measures necessary for planning a successful kayak trip are also covered in the class.

See you on the water!
