For immediate release - April 12, 2005
TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners approved Tuesday a motion to appoint Assistant County Manager Cindy Hall as interim county manager.
The Board made the move at its publicly scheduled workshop session held at the Hickory Point Recreational Facility in Tavares.
Hall fills the vacancy left when the former county manager resigned at the Board’s previous meeting a week ago. At the time the resignation was announced, the Board designated County Attorney Sandy Minkoff as interim county manager until an absent Hall could be consulted about serving in the interim role.
As expected, the Board unanimously approved the appointment of Hall as the full-time, interim county manager at the workshop. The search process of hiring a permanent manager is expected to last anywhere from six months to a year.
