TAVARES — A public meeting is set for Monday, Dec. 5, to inform residents near the City of Mount Dora about proposed road improvements to Britt Road, a two-lane road which extends north and south from State Road 44 and Wolf Branch Road.
The meeting will be held at the Mount Dora Community Hall, located at 520 N. Baker St., starting at 6 p.m. The proposed roadway upgrades include improving the narrow 20-foot wide road with unpaved shoulders to 24-foot wide with 3-foot paved shoulders.
At the public meeting, representatives from the Lake County Department of Public Works and the transportation consulting firm of Reynolds, Smith and Hills Inc. will provide information and answer questions about the proposed roadway improvements.
An informational mailing regarding the public meeting was sent to all residences within 100 feet of Britt Road.
