TAVARES — The Lake County Children's Services Council and the Community Enhancement Area Program will present two free grant-writing workshops on Friday, Jan. 13, and Saturday, Jan. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 233 of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares.
The free grant-writing workshops are open to the public. Taught by a professional grant writer, the first workshop reviews grant writing basics in the morning and expands on the basic information in the afternoon. Lunch will be "on your own."
The Saturday workshop, also taught by a professional grant writer, will focus on grant writing basics and is designed specifically for community enhancement area program applicants and novice grant writers. A working lunch will be provided.
"These workshops are designed to help any individual learning how to write grants," said Robbie Hollenbeck, Director of Citizen Support Services for the Lake County Department of Community Services. "The grant-writing workshops would be especially beneficial to those agencies who are eligible to make application for funds through Lake County's Children's Services Council, Human Services Grant Program or Community Enhancement Area Program"
