UF/IFAS Extension offers ‘De-Clutter Your Life’ Program in Lady Lake
The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County will present “De-Clutter Your Life,” a free program to be held from 1- 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 at the Lady Lake Public Library, located at 225 W. Guava St. in Lady Lake.

Outdoor enthusiasts invited to Paddling Adventure and Clean-up on the Lower Wekiva River
The Lake County Water Authority, in conjunction with the Lake County Parks and Trails Division, is inviting participants to the “Paddling Adventure and Clean-up,” to be held from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. The group will meet at the Lower Wekiva River Preserve State Park at Katie's Landing, located at 262 Wekiva Park Drive, Sanford.

Household hazardous waste collection event to be held at the landfill in Tavares
The Lake County Solid Waste Division is encouraging Lake County residents to dispose of toxic materials in a safe and environmentally sensitive way at an upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. The County’s Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Unit will be available from 9 a.m. - noon Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Central Solid Waste Facility, located at 13130 County Landfill Road, Tavares.
