The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF-Lake County, funded by Lake County and residing in Lake County’s Business Opportunity Centers, is offering classes to help business owners understand the process of selling to the government.

Animal Services announces expanded hours
at shelter, new directional signs to facility
In an effort to enhance customer service, the Lake County Animal Services Division announced that they will now be opening the Animal Shelter every Saturday of the month. This expands the shelter hours to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The UF/IFAS Lake County Extension will host a small-scale poultry workshop, “Chicken University,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.

Lake County to host 2 learning sessions on Tourism Capital Projects Funding
The Lake County Economic Development & Tourism Department will host two application learning sessions for the Capital Projects Funding Program. Both sessions will take place at the Lake County Agricultural Education Center’s auditorium, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The session dates are from 2 to 4 p.m. June 24, or 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 9.
