UF/IFAS Extension to host free class: ‘Organize Your Important Papers’
The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County is hosting “Organize Your Important Papers,” a class which will teach participants how to get their documents in order. Julie England, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent from UF/IFAS Extension in Lake County will present the program from 10:30 a.m. - noon on Wednesday, March 11 at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.

Lake County honors 61 volunteers with more than 150 hours of service in 2014
The Lake County Board of County Commissioners honored 61 volunteers who contributed over 150 hours of service in 2014 with a special recognition ceremony during the Feb. 24 meeting of the Board of County Commissioners. The Volunteer Service Awards recognized volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to various county departments and divisions including Public Resources, Public Safety, Community Safety & Compliance to name a few.
