TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 2, will be delayed for one hour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. due to Lake County Canvassing Board activities.
The Nov. 2 meeting of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners will feature State Rep. Carey Baker making a ceremonial check presentation of $200,000 for construction of the first “boundless playground” in Central Florida. The $200,000 matching grant is through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for development of Lake Idamere Park, located at the corner of State Road 19 and County Road 448 in Tavares.
In cooperation with the Parks and Recreation Division, the Childrens’ Foundation of Lake County and the Lake County Citizens’ Commission for Children worked to bring the boundless playground to Lake Idamere Park to assure that children of all abilities will be able to play in a safe area created to meet their special needs.
