CLERMONT — Lake County park rangers will lead a migratory bird hike for North American Migration Count Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Palatlakaha River Park, located at 12325 Hull Road, Clermont.
“We’ll hike through several ecosystems looking for and counting all the songbirds we can find at this hidden gem of a park,” said Gallus Quigley, Lake County Park Ranger.
The 1-mile hike will be over semi-improved trails. Participants are encouraged to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and hiking shoes. Reservations are required.
