MINNEOLA — The Lake County Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Minneola City Hall, located at 800 N. U.S. Highway 27, to discuss proposed design improvements to North Hancock Road from Old Highway 50 to just north of Fosgate Road.
This section of North Hancock Road is about 1.4 miles long. The proposed design improvements include a four-lane divided roadway with curb & gutter and median openings at cross streets. County staff anticipates the need to acquire additional right-of-way for the proposed road improvements and water retention.
Staff from the Department of Public Works and the County’s contracted engineering firm, T.Y. Lin International, will be available at the public meeting to answer questions. Plans are scheduled to be completed in 2010.
