TAVARES — On Tuesday, Jan. 3, the Lake County Children’s Services Council and the Lake County Health & Human Services Division, released a request for grant applications for funding up to $25,000 for youth intervention and prevention programs, and up to $10,000 for health and human services programs.
- CHILDREN'S SERVICES COUNCIL - Programs that serve at-risk children to include: safeguarding physical health; abuse and neglect prevention and intervention; delinquency prevention; afterschool and out of school programs; developmental screening, assessments and access to appropriate interventions; prevention and/or intervention; kinship care (grandparents/relatives raising grandchildren); subsidized child care; children with special, physical, developmental and behavioral needs; nutritional education and the reduction of childhood obesity.
$25,000 Maximum Funding
- HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES – Programs that assist individuals / families by providing prevention or intervention services for one of the following emergency needs: rental or mortgage; utilities ; deposits (for both utilities and housing); food; achieving economic self-sufficiency.
$10,000 Maximum Funding
