SORRENTO – On Jan. 23, 2012, the Lake County Library System (LCLS), in conjunction with Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc., launched a job counseling program at the East Lake County Library, located at 31340 S. County Road 437 in Sorrento.

Thus far, the community’s response to the program has been overwhelmingly positive. Within two weeks of its inception, over a dozen clients had already taken advantage of the program’s services, seeking everything from resume revisions to general career counseling.

This program was implemented to help job-seekers improve upon skills that enhance professional development and increase their marketability to potential employers. Numerous services are available to assist clients in areas such as resume and portfolio building, networking, jobs searching, effective interviewing practices and much more.

Job counselors are able to provide information, support, and guidance for first-time job-seekers and those who wish to re-enter the workforce. Clients can meet job counselors on Monday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. at the East Lake County Library.
