TAVARES – Lake County Extension will provide the ‘Build Your Bones’ osteoporosis education series on Wednesday Feb. 29, March 7 and March 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake County Agriculture Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
The ‘Build Your Bones’ series will offer participants valuable information on methods to improve bone health and reduce the risk for fractures. Some other topics include activities that focus on modifiable risk factors such as nutrition, improved balance and physical activities for better bone health.
The program will be presented by Julie England, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent with the University of Florida/IFAS Lake County Extension. There is a $5 materials fee and pre-registration is required. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all three parts of the series.
