TAVARES – The Lake County Board of County Commissioners is reminding residents to make plans to attend one of three upcoming events, entitled “A Year in Review,” which will re-cap the County’s economic development achievements over the past year, as well as highlight future initiatives that are on the horizon. The scheduled meetings are as follows:

• Northeast Region: Thursday, June 7 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Eustis Community Center, located at 601 Northshore Drive in Eustis.

• Northwest Region: Wednesday, June 13 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Venetian Gardens Community Center, located at 109 E. Dixie Ave. in Leesburg. This event was previously set to be held at 201 E. Dixie Ave. in Leesburg.

• South Lake Region: Monday, June 18 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Minneola City Hall, located at 800 U.S. Highway 27 in Minneola.

The events will give an update on various County initiatives such as the Economic Action Plan, the Business Opportunities Centers and the office’s micro-regional approach. There will also be discussions of the County’s renewed focus on tourism, various business incentive programs and local business and economic highlights.
