CLERMONT – The Lake County Solid Waste Division will hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Lowe’s parking lot, located at 16905 Cagan Crossings Blvd. in Clermont.  

At this event, residents will be able to easily and efficiently dispose of unwanted and potentially hazardous household waste products. Items such as lawn and gardening materials, photo and swimming pool chemicals, paint and related products, cleaning solutions, motor oil and used gas, batteries, fluorescent lamps, light bulbs and small propane tanks will all be accepted for disposal.

Materials such as infectious waste, solvents, chemical laboratory waste and radioactive waste are not permitted.
