TAVARES — Lake County park rangers will lead a native plant and butterfly walk on Saturday, June 7, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Pine Forest Park, located at 32520 State Road 44, DeLand.
During the walk, Park Ranger Wendy Poag will lead the group around one of the County’s most biologically diverse parks helping to identify native plants, butterflies and their host plants.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear as the hike is over uneven terrain. Park rangers also recommend bringing binoculars, field guides, insect repellent and water.
