TAVARES — Lake County's park rangers will lead a nature hike on Saturday, July 26, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lake Idamere Park, located at 12335 County Road 448, Tavares.
During the 1.5-mile hike, park rangers will identify plants, animals, butterflies and birds. After the hike, participants are encouraged to explore the park's amenities including the dog park, fishing pier or boundless playground. Participants can also pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it at the park's pavilion with barbecue grills.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Park rangers also recommend bringing insect repellent, sunscreen, water, binoculars and field guides.
