TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4, will be delayed for one hour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. due to Lake County Canvassing Board activities.
The Nov. 4 meeting of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners will feature a presentation about National Recycling Day. Commissioners will consider a proclamation to declare Nov. 15 as Lake County Recycles Day 2008. In addition, students from Tavares Elementary School are scheduled to deliver a presentation that demonstrates their support for America Recycles Day.
Since 2007, the Lake County Recycling Program has greatly increased opportunities for residents, schools and local businesses to participate in recycling. To date, in addition to its residential recycling program, Lake County now provides recycling services to 10 local municipalities, 35 schools in the County and 20 area businesses.
