TAVARES — All Lake County Government administrative offices and Lake County Clerk of Court offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Lake County Historical Museum will also be closed on Thursday and Friday. All offices will reopen on Monday, Nov. 28, with regularly scheduled hours.
The following Lake County Library System libraries will close for the Thanksgiving holiday, on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 5 p.m. The following libraries will remain closed through the weekend and will reopen on Monday with regularly scheduled hours.
- Astor County Library
- Citrus Ridge County Library
- Cooper Memorial Library
- East Lake County Library
- Marion Baysinger Memorial County Library
- Paisley County Library
- Helen Lehmann Memorial Library
- Umatilla Public Library
The remaining member libraries will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The following libraries will remain closed through the weekend and will reopen on Monday with regularly scheduled hours.
- W. T. Bland Public Library
- Fruitland Park Library
- Lady Lake Public Library
- Tavares Public Library
The Leesburg Public Library will close Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 26, with regularly scheduled hours.
The Lake County Department of Environmental Services administrative offices, located at 13130 Astatula County Landfill Road, Tavares, will be closed on Thursday and Friday; however, the Lake County Landfill will only be closed on Thursday and will reopen on Friday with normal operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Pine Lakes residential drop-off center, located at 32520 State Road 44, DeLand, will be closed Thursday, but will feature an adjusted schedule to accommodate residents by opening Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. All other drop-off centers will operate with normal schedules.
