TAVARES — On Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 a.m., Lake County Commission Chairman Jennifer Hill and other County leaders will outline the successes of Lake County Government this past fiscal year during the annual State of the County presentation.
The presentation will be held at Lake Receptions, located at 4425 Highway 19A, Mount Dora. Included in the event are awards to the 10 chambers of commerce in Lake County, as well as official announcement of the most recent inductee into the Lake County Women's Hall of Fame.
"I am encouraged by the progress that has occurred in Lake County, and I welcome new challenges in the years to come," wrote Hill in a letter addressing Lake County citizens in the annual report. "I am honored to serve on this Board that actively partners with its stakeholders and works toward building 'Strength in Community.'"
The theme for the presentation and the Lake County 2004-2005 Annual Report is "Strength in Community." Accompanying the annual report and State of the County message from Hill, is a montage of excerpts from the annual report and photographs portraying the County's "Strength in Community."
"The Lake County Annual Report is a four-color, 24-page booklet that highlights Lake County Government's accomplishments and demonstrates the County's commitment and enthusiasm in serving the citizens of Lake County," said County Manager Cindy Hall.
The public is invited to attend the State of the County presentation. Refreshments will be served at the event.
