Track and field athletes train in Lake County, shine at 2012 London Olympic Games
In May, Outside Magazine recognized Clermont as one of the top athletic training destinations in the country. If that distinction needed any validation, the 2012 London Olympic Games cemented the accolade as twelve track and field athletes who trained at the National Training Center (NTC), located at 1935 Don Wickham Drive in Clermont, competed in the Olympics, winning a total of eight medals.
